The VP of Supply Chain will have oversight and management of strategies, performance and development of large-scale products and services. Leads and manages supply chain team performing activities related to overall supply chain. Manages technical, business, product delivery, quality and in-service aspects of supplier/subcontractor relationships and performance. Establishes operating plan to monitor performance to plan. Identifies and manages all aspects of supplier, statement of work, RAA, contractual commitments and performance to support company procurement strategies and contractual compliance and establishes operating plan.

- Develop, maintain, and build excellent relationships at the highest levels with all suppliers/subcontractors, and will establish and maintain regular communications with them.
- Responsible for the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implementation of action items to ensure goals are achieved.
- Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance within the department.
- Design supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Collaborative and has the ability to partner cross functionally with engineers, operations, program managers, and employees/business leaders at all levels.
- Manage and monitor supplier performance and build out the supply chain risk matrix.
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic sourcing strategy for key commodities.
- Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
- Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with suppliers/subcontractors, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
Education:
- A four year college degree (Bachelor’s degree) is required.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Supply chain experience: 15+ years
- Contracting/negotiating experience: 7+ years
- Leadership experience: 7+ years
