About The Role
We are searching for a high energy leader to scale our Financial Reporting and Controls organization. This role offers a steep learning curve, the opportunity to scale a function, a close partnership with our executive leadership team, and a platform to make a lasting impact on Miro’s business. Your scope and accountability traverse the full spectrum of our financial reporting, controls, and operations outcomes. You’ll be contributing to Miro’s growth and profitability by solving some of our most difficult business problems with a direct connection between your activities and the organization’s success.
What You’ll Do

• Manage and successfully complete external audits
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Develop and implement financial accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with US GAAP, SOX, and industry best practices
• Develop an agile organization focused on partnership and business needs
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying areas of improvement and recommending actions to optimize financial processes and enhance efficiency
• Be on the forefront of Implementing technology and automation for scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and reliable data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
• Oversee the Financial Reporting and Controls organization, leading a team of skilled professionals across: all aspects of accounting and compliance, payroll, strategic sourcing/procurement, tax, treasury, and equity administration
• Architect and execute path to public market/IPO readiness

What You’ll Need

• A partnership-first mentality
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including substantial experience with US GAAP and implementing/maintaining internal controls
• A track record of scaling purpose-led organizations and cultures where teams are empowered to do their best work
• Experience working in rapidly scaling, public company environments - prior experience in the SaaS industry or other technology-driven sectors is highly desirable
• Relentlessly high standards and attention to detail
• Clarity of thought paired with exceptional communication and interpersonal finesse

• Execution is your thing and you have prior success crafting and driving processes companywide that scale

The reasonably estimated salary is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. The total cash compensation range for this role is between $325,000-$390,000. Included in the total package is an equity component, this may also include variable compensation. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
