Job Description

A well established boutique insurance carrier based out of Los Angeles handling both personal and commercial lines is seeking a qualified Corporate Controller. This company is based out of the Los Angeles county but can be fully remote. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for the oversight of all accounting, financial reporting and internal controls operations.


Qualifications:

  • Must have expertise with both GAAP and SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles) financial reporting.
  • Must have public accounting experience (Big 4 or Mid-Tier).
  • Experience presenting to Board of Directors is also highly desired.
  • Must have 7+ years' of insurance industry accounting / finance management experience.
  • Experience with SOX and/or SEC Filings would be a plus.
  • Must be a licensed CPA
  • Must have management experience of a staff of at least 5-10 in accounting / finance.
