Overview
As part of the US Luxe CDMO Consumer Connections team, the VP, Advocacy & Influence is a highly visible member in building the divisional marketing strategy and will act as the functional leader for all aspects of Advocacy & Influence for L’Oréal LUXE. This individual will provide expertise, vision, and leadership to define and implement advocacy & influencer marketing strategies that successfully build profitable, long-term influencer relationships across all channels (i.e. DTC, E-retail, Amazon, etc.) and platforms (i.e. TikTok, IG/FB, YouTube, Pinterest). This individual will spearhead Luxe’s A&I strategy across all platforms (existing and emerging), technology solutions, and social avenues that evolve in this space.
The VP, Advocacy & Influence will drive adoption of technology solutions that unlock data at scale for divisional and brand stakeholders and fuel the Advocacy & Influence practice to meet and exceed our competition. This individual is required to leverage creator economy insights to fuel customer-centric strategies that drive marketing return on investment (ROI) and customer engagement across our Luxe portfolio of brands. This individual will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a large team across four key pillars: Social Listening & Insights, Influencer Relationship Management, Conversion/Affiliate Advocacy Marketing, and Community Management, in alignment with the company’s business objectives. This leader must be a change agent with exceptional communication skills, the ability to lead and influence direct and indirect reports, deliver business results through cross-functional collaboration in a highly matrixed organization.
The VP, Advocacy & Influence Lead Is Accountable To
  • Grow the US A&I Market share through constant evolution of Video Views, Impressions and Engagements for LUXE brands
  • Amplify real-time marketing efforts to drive incremental return on investment via hyper targeted long-term brand building and short-term trend alignment initiatives all while uncovering new and compelling consumer insights from data
  • Provide strategic guidance, subject matter expertise and executional leadership to fuel advocacy and influence interactions through integration with divisional and brand marketing strategies
Key Responsibilities
Social Listening
  • Oversee the development of the divisional social listening frame and strategy
  • Identify and oversee the onboarding of new social listening tools, to accelerate data driven capabilities to identify trends and related insights for the division and its’ brands.
  • Set goals and objectives for the year, quarter, and month-by-month for trend identification and action by the division
  • Partner with Consumer Insights and Customer Care (Le Care) teams to leverage key trending data in strategy recommendations
  • Ensure development of reporting to reflect brand and divisional needs
Trend Influencer Relationship Marketing (IRM)
  • Build holistic partnership between social listening, community management and Influencer Relations teams to understand ascending currents (in real time) to ensure brands are always “on trend” in their execution
  • Drive partnerships across other pillars in the organization to foster innovation (i.e. DTC, Amazon, E-retail)
  • Manage the distribution and presentation of trend reporting and status to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Build and execute strategy for the IRM team to optimize the data in real time to ensure L’Oréal LUXE is leading the trend conversations at scale
  • Create trend influencer management strategies to advance business at the division and brand levels
Community Management
  • Ensure the deployment of best-in-class community management strategies and share across the LUXE portfolio
  • Oversee the development of the community management frame and strategy
  • Partner with global LUXE CDMO to unlock community management opportunities with all brands across the LUXE portfolio
  • Partner with Consumer Insights and Customer Care (Le Care) teams to leverage key learnings for strategy recommendations
Conversion/Affiliate Advocacy Marketing
  • Create seamless relationship with ecommerce business teams to ensure alignment and real time optimization to achieve business goals
  • Drive the exploration of affiliate partners, build relationships and leverage as an opportunity to grow converter influencers for the LUXE portfolio
  • Ensure reporting on total ROI, ROAS and all influencer KPIs in real time
Cross-Functional Development & Coaching
  • Coach and develop teams to grow, thrive and contribute to the success of CDMO and L’Oréal Luxe.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback and development plans to develop leaders of the future.
  • Foster relationships with agency partners as team extensions to enable fast advocacy & influence adoption
Job Requirements Include The Following
  • Proven experience building and leading strong advocacy and social, PR teams in matrix environment
  • Experience working at TikTok, Meta, YouTube, or another major social network preferred
  • College Degree
  • Strong computer skills necessary (All Microsoft Office programs)
  • Proven track record as a change agent in a matrixed organization
  • Beauty experience, preferred; not mandatory
  • Must be analytical but also creative
  • Proven record of partnering cross functionally to create personalized customer experiences
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills; not only written and verbal, but also in the engagement of internal and external business partners
  • Open to new ideas and actively builds networks to achieve goals
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker. Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • 10+ years digital advocacy, social, public relations experience
