Surgical Scheduler Jobs

The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for accurately scheduling surgeries and off-site testing with appropriate facilities according to Practice policy and procedure.

• Correctly identifies patients using patient’s first and last name and date of birth.
• Ensures appropriate documentation in EPM/Shared Notes and Impact Scans as appropriate.
• Arranges for the scheduling of diagnostic tests related to the surgery/test and medical clearance appointments.
• Reviews pre-operative instructions with patients and family; notifies patients of pre-surgical testing appointment.
• Prepares the chart according to the requirements of the scheduled procedure/test, utilizing assistance or direction from the Surgeon/Nurse.
• Prepares the surgery schedule, making accurate and timely adjustments and communicates with team appropriately.
• Schedules post-op appointments.
