Job Title:Master Scheduler/Planner
Location:Cleveland, Ohio
Department:Operations
Reports To:Production Supervisor
Purpose:The Master Scheduler/Planner is responsible for all aspects of designated production area planning performance to plan monitoring. Including supply chain, advance scheduling, consideration of key input requirements (manufactured and/or procured) and demand planning. Working with personnel to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.

Key Result Areas:
- Manage all ordering and planning of commercial products in designated area.
- Play key role in overall plant yield improvement program – including work with quality and continuous improvement
- Insure accurate accounting and control of inventory levels in areas of responsibility
- Manage scheduling or production in designated production area
- Monitoring of daily production, ensuring that all operations are completed per procedures for products meets all required quality standards
- Create and promote a safe working environment in all departments.
- Support applicable equipment and personnel to optimize efficiency responsiveness and deliverability
- Key role in SIOP process including but not limited to capacity planning (materials and resources) to meet given demand plan
- Key role in utilization of work order management team
- Monitor all daily issues of production area and hourly personnel
- Collaboration with maintenance and engineering to ensure all critical equipment is properly serviced and maintained to optimize efficiency
·Understanding and responsible for identifying and maintaining material variances within areas of responsibility
·Constant communication with Customer Service team regarding order availability
- Any other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering or related technical discipline preferred. Lean manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 3 years of related planning or scheduling experience. In addition to, supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge:Must be familiar with total quality and continuous improvement methods, including work order management within a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Behavior:
- Safe work attitude and team oriented.
- Ability to deal with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to compile information and make decisions.
- Strong proficiency with MRP/ERP systems ex: JDE, SAP, Other
- Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to recognize market and industry drivers that have a direct impact on mid (3 mo) to long-range (annual) planning decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem Solving & Complexity:Will be required to serve on problem solving teams to deal with various production related issues and continuous improvement activities.
