Part-Time - Weekends Only

Department: Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing


Status: Part-Time - Weekends Only (every Saturday & Sunday), working approx. 12 to 18 hours per week


Shift: Days/Evenings (10am - 7pm)

The Receptionist supports our mission and values by answering the main switchboard, performing clerical support to facility staff and acting as the initial contact person at main entrance of the building.


The Receptionist's Primary Responsibilities Will Include


  • Receives, sorts, and collates mail for distribution to residents. Forwards mail to responsible parties as directed.
  • Other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Reports suspicious persons/telephone calls to supervisor.
  • Assists with administrative duties as directed including typing, copying, paging, utilizes computer, etc.
  • Takes accurate messages for personnel and residents as needed.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all resident and Village personal information.
  • Stamps/records all outgoing mail. Operates stamp machine and notifies supervisor when additional postage refill is needed.
  • Answers telephone, determines nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.
  • Provides directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, salesmen, surveyors, etc.
  • Greets all visitors, and responds to phone calls, in a pleasant, professional tone.
  • Files, collates, and arranges various information packets.
  • Reports equipment malfunction/breakdown immediately.


What do I need for this role?


  • Prior secretarial experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
