The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

About this opportunity

We are looking for an Executive Assistant inSanta Clara, Californiato support theHead of Advanced Technology and the Head or Ericsson Research (USA) within Group Function Technology (GFTL). Group Function Technology (GFTL) has the mission to sharpen Ericsson's technology and business competitiveness, ensuring an outstanding technology leadership position for Ericsson.


The Advanced Technology Group has two main tasks: The first is to drive co-creation projects with Silicon Valley ecosystem partners for new use cases on 5G networks in our D-15 Lab. The second is to strengthen Ericsson overall technology leadership and influence toward US policy makers and government related research initiatives.


Ericsson Research in Silicon Valley drives applied networking and immersive media research projects that generates both patents and technology solutions that gets transferred to the product development. You will work closely with the other assistants within GFTL and report to the Head of Advanced Technology. Being a small site with only three administrators you need to work well in a small team.

What you will do
  • Engage with team/office activities and develop a culture and atmosphere that inspires team members to work at the office rather than from home.
  • Act as an expert of the administrative IT systems /Compliance routines whenever needed and also drive and execute e.g. purchase orders and invoices in line with the authorization policies and routines.
  • Provide a high degree of administrative support to the head and members of the units.
  • Provide independent administrative support of the day-to-day activities, including calendar management.
  • Support with on boarding of new staff, e.g. I-9 verification, as well as off-boarding of people leaving the company.
  • Additional tasks can be tailored to fit the ambitions of the right candidate (e.g., assisting with design of presentations, managing unit web pages, basic project management tasks, etc.).
  • Prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements
  • Support and inform about Ericsson’s internal administrative processes, Compliance directives, systems and tools.
  • Contribute to, and coordinate, activities in different projects in the administrative area.
  • Event and catering management for on-site visits.
You will bring
  • 4+ years of experience as an executive assistant, including 2 years of experience working in a large, international corporate environment
  • Self-driven professional with the ability to lead through ambiguity, and independently run activities with minimal supervision
  • Extensive experience with arrangement of sophisticated schedules, time management and logistics, across multiple time zones; global experience preferred
  • A positive attitude and a team player
  • Superior problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on structure and execution
  • Strong work ethic, high integrity, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
