Job Description
  • 3+ years experience in sales or marketing of games and with 1P platform stores including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC stores
  • 5+ years of experience with digital marketing in games or entertainment
  • 3+ years of experience hiring, managing, and training teams in high-performing cultures
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in account management, digital store management, or business development
  • 5+ years analytical skills, comfortable working in data-driven business environments, and ability to solve ambiguous problems.

Our initiatives include game development, publishing, marketing, and live operations. In addition to releasing New World, an MMO developed by our internal studio, Amazon Games Orange County, and publishing Lost Ark, from acclaimed Smilegate RPG, we are developing new games and partnering with some of the biggest and most beloved global IPs.
As Sr Marketing Manager, Platform Partnerships, you are responsible for maintaining and coordinating our First Party Platform partners including Valve, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation and more. As part of the Marketing Partnership team, and reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, you oversee the marketing relationship with these external partners and are the connective tissue between our game marketing teams and the platform channels and will help guide channel product strategy, promotions and forecasts and increase and optimize co-marketing opportunities. This role will establish a new team and grow to expand with additional direct reports over time to help manage additional platform partners.
Key job responsibilities
  • Secure comprehensive co-marketing and store merchandising for all titles live and in pre-order states, report on results and optimize.
  • Work closely with 1P release and tech teams to manage relationships holistically.
  • Advise product and publishing teams on pricing and sale windows in conjunction with Business Operations and the game franchise teams to grow total units sold per platform. Manage promotions and report on results.
  • Drive incremental opportunities with 1P partners, including marketing event integration, editorial, and more.
  • Build and execute partnerships both internally and with 1P platform partners that enhance our games marketing efforts, by identifying strategic opportunities, cultivating relationships, and leveraging resources to drive growth and engagement on each platform.
  • Stay on top of trends and business updates from platform partners and update stakeholders across the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
