Position Summary:
As the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Accounting, you will have a pivotal role in leading and managing the company's financial planning and reporting framework. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, your responsibilities will involve overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring a thorough and accurate financial close. You will also play a crucial role in delivering risk-balanced forecasts and plans based on comprehensive data analysis. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating relevant financial reports that support executive management in making informed decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing recommendations to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and evaluate the financial feasibility of new initiatives.
- Collaborate with external auditors and assist in the company’s year-end audit process.
- Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance, track key performance indicators, and provide insights into revenue growth, cost management, and profitability.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to the executive team and board of directors.
- Assist in the company’s cash forecasting process.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, delivering timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team.
Accounting Management:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage and optimize the company's financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration, alignment, and effective communication across the organization.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and financial reporting standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Team player.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Beauty Industry experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong Excel skills required.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize, focus and complete tasks effectively and independently.
- CPA designation a plus.
- Knowledge of Shopify and Solution 7 a plus.

Travel and Hours:
- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office.
- Legally able to work in the United States
- This position is a full-time position.
