Summary:

Airgain is looking for an experienced global business development manager with a demonstrated history of successful work in the Telecom industry. We need an expert who has a deep understanding of the market and a versatile sales skill set. You will be calling on OEMs that sell telecom gear to cable operators. You will help us capture maximum business opportunities available with our embedded antenna / outdoor and indoor external antenna systems. You will be working closely with both the technical and business community with tier 1 telecom gear makers in the US in some cases at the c-level, nurture them, and eventually drive the adoption of Airgain antenna systems technology to help them reduce churn and limit OPEX.

You will have a chance to enjoy selling a much-demanded embedded and external antenna systems with a number of unique selling propositions and market leadership by multiple criteria. You will make use of your knowledge and experience. You will help the masses stay safe online with a comprehensible product with no barriers to purchase.

Essential Function:

  • Effectively engage with new prospects and win deals by using a consultative, value-oriented approach that resonates with C-level decision makers.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure customer success and business growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry dynamics; evaluate industry and business trends and analyze performance and respond with necessary business change.
  • Identify, nurture, grow, and close new business opportunities which have significant revenue and profit potential that meets company gross margins and opportunity size metrics.
  • Establishes corporate client relationships with key decision-makers across various organizational levels.
  • Create business proposals and close business agreements.
  • Leads and manages the cultivation, pursuit strategy, and pursuit execution to include the client pipeline, proposals, presentations, deal underwriting, and other client-facing meetings and materials.
  • Drive the entire sales process from prospecting through opportunity development and deal closure, to post-sale kickoff with our Partnership Delivery team.
  • Lead, build, and manage sales growth with our tier-1 direct customers inclusive of driving growth strategy, refining processes building strong customer relationships; and, of course, closing deals.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Convey a strong sense of urgency and drive to closure.
  • C-level management skill set
  • An experienced sales team manager with an orientation to quick thinking and problem solving.
  • Impeccable sales skills
  • Working knowledge of the telecom industry / ecosystem including operators, OEMs / ODMs, Integrated circuit and passives suppliers, CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) manufacturing, marketing, and CPE selling process
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets by running a consultative, multi-threaded sales process with large, complex prospect organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English.
  • A proven track record of strong client relationships
  • 10 years of experience in customer facing sales roles in the areas of integrated circuit, passives, electronic module sales calling on tier 1 telecom gear makers in the United States
  • Demonstrated history of working in the global telecommunications industry
  • BS Business or Marketing. Technical degree in Engineering / Technology (Desired)

Compensation Details:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$165,000 + Sales Incentive Plan.

Our salary ranges are determined by several factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target range for new hire base salary for the position across all US locations and varies by the location of the position. Our Talent team member can share more about our salary ranges and other benefits of working at Airgain, which are not included in the posted base salary range.
