Job Summary
As the Sales Manager – Linerless, you will be responsible for generating profitable sales with end-users in one of the 3 segments including Retail / Grocery, or QSR & Hospitality, or Logistics & Distribution. You'll execute our direct-to-end-user sales strategy, collaborating closely with the Linerless Solutions Manager and other internal teams such as Customer Service, Technical Sales, and Inside Sales.
Your role will involve leading account action planning and sales delivery. By developing sustainable
relationships with end-users in the specific segment, you'll help us grow sales directly with them.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide critical market and business intelligence on customer activity, competitor actions, and end-user requirements.
- Represent UPM and actively engage in industry events and exhibitions.
- Effectively manage customer portfolio to achieve sales growth and profitability targets.
- Achieve sales and profitability line with the targets for the given end-user segment.
- Travel 60% (approx.)
- Identify new sales opportunities, while proactively generating and qualifying leads in the Retail Grocery, or QSR & Hospitality, or Logistics & Distribution segment, promoting UPM's linerless solutions.
- Negotiate favorable business terms and annual agreements with customers.
- Organize and lead customer meetings (in-person, virtual, or by phone) in accordance with the company’s target list.
Education & Experience:
- Knowledge of one the specific segments / industry (Retail / Grocery, or QSR & Hospitality, or Logistics & Distribution) is required.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience in selling consumables into required channels.
- Experience in managing direct-to-end-user sales strategies.
- 3- 5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in labeling, packaging, adhesives, printing, or any other relevant industry.
Skills and Personality:
- Performance-driven, with ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a “Can-Do” attitude.
- Understanding of face-to-face contacts, with ability to develop and maintain sustainable relationships with clients.
- Hunter mentality, with strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
