In this role, you’ll lead Pinterest’s Global Social Media team as you revitalize and expand our social media presence to accurately reflect our position as one of the world’s most beloved and creative brands.

What You’ll Do

• Build our community management discipline and develop playbooks for efficient crisis response social operations.
• Use your editorial experience to partner with agencies and in-house creative teams to increase the volume of our content publishing, while establishing a new bar for creative excellence on a channel-by-channel basis.
• Manage a small and mighty team of social media strategists and channel leads.
• Build best-in-class social media marketing campaigns to support company priorities
• Leverage your strategic expertise to evaluate and optimize our social strategy and build multi-year resourcing plans to support it.
• Guide measurement plans and dig into analytics with our agencies and measurement teams to continuously optimize our strategy and content.
• Grow our social media following and evaluate opportunities to activate on emerging platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• You have experience mobilizing teams to respond to challenging corporate situations through social. And you take pride in growing and developing your team members, with 5+ years of management experience.
• You put a high bar on creative excellence - and understand how definitions of excellence need to change on a channel-by-channel basis.
• We’re looking for an experienced social media leader who is as strategic as they are creative.
• You love Pinterest and the inspiration and manifestation it enables.
• You have a proven track record of delivering social campaigns that demonstrate measurable business impact, as well as a record of significantly growing a brand’s following and engagement across channels.
• You think within the mindset of your target audience and you love geeking out on data and analytics to better understand and optimize your team’s impact.
• You have a finger on the pulse of culture, with attention paid to what’s happening in entertainment, fashion, beauty, design, food and more.
• You have 10+ years of experience working in the social media space, and you understand how to effectively engage and delight consumers in a way that is both brand-accretive and authentic.

Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration approximately 1x per quarter. For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover T&E. Learn more about PinFlex here.
