Social Media Manager

Are you a social media virtuoso with a passion for brand-building and social media strategy? We’re looking for an exceptional Social Media Manager to take the Tipsy Elves' social media presence to the next level. If you love entertaining the world through storytelling and social media, crafting authentically hilarious content strategies, and blazing trails with innovative marketing strategies, we want to meet you! Under the supervision of our Brand Marketing Director, you will join a close-knit team of marketers to make a meaningful and measurable impact on our social media channels.


This position is accountable for driving overall social media performance, with an overarching goal of follower growth and engagement across our social channels. The core responsibilities of this role will be: (1) crafting a content strategy and creating humorous video-forward content that will excite and entertain our fans, (2) overseeing all posting and scheduling across our social media channels, (3) community management and engagement and (4) reporting and analytics. This is a position for someone with strong social media management and marketing experience who follows the latest social trends, and can put them into context for our fun-loving fans. The right person is highly creative, results focused, and analytical.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Work closely with Visual Creative Team to partner on execution of “built-for-social” content and to develop a strong visual personality and style guide for social media that incorporates GIFs, animation, graphic design, product photography, and video.
  • Develop a plan and strategy for encouraging and utilizing UGC - we get tagged in thousands of photos and videos per year on Instagram!
  • Collaborating with other team members to produce fun and engaging native video content.
  • Work in close conjunction with our Brand Marketing Manager to ensure that our social channels are supporting product and collection launches, sales, and other product marketing initiatives.
  • Be curious and adaptable to identify new content opportunities based on social media trends.
  • Craft content strategy across all social media channels and drive the creation of all social media content needs – working in close collaboration with our Creative Team.


Social Strategy & Execution

  • Help define cohesive voice and tone for all communication on social media channels and work with in-house copywriter when needed for captions and brand-relevant copy.
  • Maintain a pulse on what’s current and topical within the social world to make recommendations on content strategy and opportunities.
  • Varying content by what’s working best on each channel and historical learnings and KPIs.
  • Shared social content calendar on a weekly basis with Creative Team, to the extent the Creative Team is needed for content creation.
  • Initiative and execute on brand collaborations, giveaways, and other social growth strategies.
  • Ensure backgrounds, links, and highlights are all actively maintained and updated across all social channels.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, content calendars, development, and publishing of content across all Tipsy Elves social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter), with a primary focus on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Produce weekly schedules for all imagery, tags, and captions, and make edits as needed for each account.
  • Manage budget for sponsored content and boosts to grow audience and engagement.


Community Management & Engagement

  • Work closely with our Influencer Marketing Specialist to handle inbound influencer requests and DMs, and collaborate on strategies to use influencer network to drive follower growth and engagement.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service team on customer service issues that arise in our DMs, comments, and social communications.
  • Regularly monitoring our social channels and responding to requests, comments, DMs, and providing real time feedback and engagement


Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze strategies used in top-performing posts, best hashtags for growth, post times based on when the audience is most active, etc.
  • Set social media-specific goals, such as followers and engagement, and track and analyze social media performance and KPIs.
  • Develop sentiment and impression tracking tools to deep dive into social media analytics to constantly optimize social media performance by building best practices on content, post-timing, amplification, and influencer marketing.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • A good understanding of Millennial and Gen Z generations and a passion for what engages them.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram
  • Results-oriented and KPI-driven.
  • Must have a proven track record of growing massive followings and engagement on social media profiles, especially TikTok and Instagram accounts – either for brands or personal accounts. Please include a portfolio or links to accounts with your resume.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and workflow management skills.
  • Always on mindset, social never sleeps! Ability to work on nights and weekends to stay active and responsive on social accounts.
  • Experience working cross functionally across groups, including creative teams.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends and pop culture.
  • A creative eye for copy, video and design, and experience working with designers.
  • BA, BS in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred
  • 4+ years experience overseeing social media strategy, preferably for other high-profile brand accounts.


Additional Info:

  • Position is expected to start mid-September 2023
  • Starting Salary is $65,000+ (based on experience)
