JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager (Sr. Mgr), Program Management is responsible for leading a team of individuals that are accountable for supporting our commercial software organization’s needs including evolving our Agile maturity, vendor management, training, metrics reporting, and back-office support. As the leader of this team, you must be able to provide proactive support, apply creative problem-solving techniques, and drive forward thinking to ensure we are constantly ahead of the needs of the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of highly motivated individuals to support the needs of the commercial software organization. Provide subject-matter expertise, best practices, and strategic direction to advance our SAFe roadmap. Manage and coordinate service and tooling vendors that support the commercial software function including tracking resources, invoice processing, budgeting, and tools tracking. Provide oversight and coordination of critical processes and programs in the commercial software group. Understand, track and report on software capitalization activities inside the organization. Build out and coordinate training for new team members as well as organize upskilling opportunities for existing employees. Work with product management, architects, engineering, and operations teams to ensure proper metrics are implemented, track the outputs and report back on areas of opportunity. SUPERVISORY SKILLS: Lead and mentor a globally diverse group of direct and indirect staff on all personnel related processes including hiring, performance management, employee relations, compensation and rewards, employee development, etc. Define and own Key Performance Indicators that are aligned with corporate objectives. Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of programs and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction. Prepare and manage budgets for personnel and tooling as needed; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions to maximize operational performance. Determine appropriate resourcing of staff to achieve goals and objectives. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent transformative leadership and people management skills including solid technical, communication, and analytical skills with thorough understanding of product development and successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation and resolution. Proficient with various software methodologies (Agile, Lean, SAFe etc.) for SaaS based architectures. Ability to coordinate needs assessments across the commercial organization, and an ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to those needs. Analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business acumen with the ability to manage and analyze data with a high level of performance and trust. Understanding of budgeting processes, software capitalization and other financial matters. EDUCATION, TRAINING: 8+ years of experience in technology related roles. 5+ years of experience in technical leadership. 5+ years of experience in a DevOps culture or SaaS environment.
