Overview:
Alliant, a leading provider of innovative data-driven consumer marketing solutions, is seeking a senior marketing strategist with 10+ years’ experience to lead a team in delivering outstanding marketing and customer experience communications. The Senior Director of Marketing is a highly-visible management-level position responsible for driving all strategic and tactical marketing and communications decisions. Qualified candidates will have strong experience in the marketing data and technology space, strategic planning expertise, and exemplary organization, communication, and leadership skills. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and Customer Experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Alliant’s marketing strategy across brand, content, demand generation, event sponsorships, product launches and sales enablement
• Provide marketing leadership and collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders to identify strategic areas of focus across solutions, verticals and go-to-market strategies
• Oversee the leadership for all marketing deliverables, upstream launch KPIs and downstream leads and sales support KPIs across seller teams and products
• Build comprehensive insights program including setting up processes for turning the insights into actions that directly drive growth and create opportunities for testing new programs
• Directly manage and support the growth of marketing managers and designers; foster a culture of curiosity and growth while managing all aspects of team development including hiring, training and professional development
• Develop and publish quarterly marketing plans in partnership with Sales, Account Management and Product teams; report frequent progress updates and challenges to stakeholders
• Own the development and management of the annual marketing budget; create all campaign budgets and objectives; monitor performance and optimizations to ensure delivery against KPIs
• Assess and prioritize projects and sales support requests; implement effective project management to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource allocation
• Execute collateral, events and content that consistently establishes solution expertise and thought leadership to meet sales demand generation and revenue goals
• Ensure all content developed by the marketing team, subject matter experts, partners and contractors is on brand, clear, informative, and aligned with target personas
• Leads company voice in industry partnerships, trade associations, and industry coalitions to more effectively shape and advance a competitive advantage
• Reinforce Alliant values of respect and transparency throughout the working environment
Qualifications and Skills:
• B.A./B.S. degree in marketing, business, or a similar area of study preferred
• Special consideration for candidates with an advanced degree in Marketing or Business
• Ten or more years in a leadership position directing B2B promotional communications in a corporate marketing or agency environment
• A portfolio establishing expertise in strategy development, execution and deployment of
multi-channel communications for lead generation, promotion and thought leadership
• Proven experience in understanding and overseeing prospect engagement and development within complex B2B marketing funnels
• A strong knowledge of direct-to-consumer marketing, digital advertising and data hygiene/enrichment processes
• Humble, collaborative, and transparent leader who can motivate and work cross functionally
• A clear track record in building, mentoring and leading successful marketing and creative teams
• Player/coach, builder mentality and a roll up the sleeve’s executor; strong bias for action balanced with high degree of precision
• A high energy level with a mindset that is goal and service oriented and positive; must be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced “get it done” environment
• Superior writing, editing and presentation development skills
• Experience applying insights from Google Analytics or other multichannel measurement tools
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, Hubspot and Salesforce a plus
• A data first approach to testing, learning and accelerating
The base salary for this role is between $125,000 and $150,000 plus a corporate bonus.
