About the Role


We are looking for a creative and dynamic Director of Marketing to serve as the chief storyteller for our products and brand across all of our channels. Your goal will be to drive top-of-funnel demand for MarcoPolo products through tailored messaging to targeted segments—ensuring our message resonates with our audiences. You will have primary ownership of the creation and strategy of advertising and PR campaigns, and you'll partner closely with our CEO and leadership team to set the vision for MarcoPolo's future. What You’ll Do


  • Support planning and preparation for conferences and events, including pre-and post-event campaigns, coordination of marketing collateral, etc. to maximize brand visibility
  • Develop and manage KPIs that are tied to overall marketing goals and business priorities, with a focus on revenue growth and customer engagement
  • Build, coach, and develop our marketing team as it continues to grow
  • Shape and direct an effective B2B & B2C content marketing strategy that drives brand awareness and lead generation
  • Develop, oversee, and evangelize a comprehensive strategy for MarcoPolo, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure the brand narrative is consistently enacted and delivers positive ROI
  • Manage press opportunities, press releases, bylines, blog posts, and other thought leadership content
  • Create engaging, on-brand collateral for print, digital, social media, and promotional materials


Your Skills and Experience


  • Proven ability to forecast as well as develop metrics to determine success
  • Experience in managing internal and external teams successfully
  • You're genuinely excited about MarcoPolo and our story and feel energized at the thought of bringing our story to market
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred
  • You love to create structure from chaos and synthesize and distill complex information into clear, concise stories for different audiences
  • Sharp eye for detail and high standards
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, and brand marketing, preferably at a high-growth education company
  • Demonstrated ability and passion for storytelling across all mediums, including websites, landing pages, blogs, event presentation decks, and social media

The base salary range for this full-time position is$85,000 to $185,000 USD+ stock options. The actual compensation offered will depend on work experience, skill level, and location.
