Who You Are
You are an experienced communications leader, who knows how to develop and execute corporate and PR-driven marketing programs that build brands, drive sales, and establish executives as thought leaders within the financial industry. You have an innate talent for building brands through the written word, and are always looking for new ways to captivate audiences and engage customers. What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute an industry leading external communications strategy further positioning BHG Financial as the next generation Fintech solution.
  • Manage and develop a team of motivated and experienced communications leaders.
  • Proactive and reactive communications planning; as well as external crisis management and communications.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with top tier corporate and industry media, consumer groups, communities, trade associations, and other affiliated non-industry groups.
  • Counsel executives on how best to drive communications strategy and increase executive visibility by identifying thought leadership opportunities for key executives and media training.
  • Measure effectiveness of external communications through a variety of resources, metrics, and media to report on campaign effectiveness.
What You'll Need
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency using communications tools such as MS Word, Power Point, Excel, digital and social platforms, and virtual meeting platforms (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams).
  • Ability to translate a range of topics -- including in urgent/crisis situations -- into clear, compelling communications that resonate with internal audiences.
  • In-house, communications consulting, and/or agency experience applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field with a preference for majors in Communications, English, Journalism.
  • Must have experience in fintech and external communications/PR.
  • 10-15+ years of communications experience leading, creating and executing communications strategies, plans and content for multi-brand organizations or enterprises.
