Director Global Communications Jobs

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Business Partner Global Communications is responsible for leading the global communications strategy and execution supporting business unit objectives and transformation strategy. This individual will be tasked with creating and deploying a strategic communication plan that guides and supports the business unit management team and the associated transformation projects. Additionally, the person will be responsible for developing compelling content in a variety of mediums that engages and informs all employees and stakeholders through ongoing change. The individual will serve as a communications advisor to business unit senior leadership and will prepare leadership content for internal and external communications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops, leads and implements a global strategic communication plan for the business unit ensuring appropriate change communication planning and execution for the business unit's related projects/programs/initiatives
• Drafts and prepares key communications for senior executives including talking points, speeches, briefings, and others as assigned
• Establishes communications processes and guidelines, ensures internal protocols and approvals, and secures final production, also ensuring close collaboration and alignment with local communications representatives
• Directly advises and supports the executive team on communication needs as required
• Creates and executes on employee-focused communication through different channels (ex. townhall- meetings, emails, videos, and intranet)

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, and/or journalism required. Advanced degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 10+ years of experience in communications or related experience
• Ability to lead virtual teams across broad-based projects
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, directional changes, and make decisions
• Fluency in English spoken and written required, other languages would be beneficial
• Demonstrated success in dealing with complex issues and the ability to anticipate problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills are required
• Demonstrated ability to work with executives across diverse functional groups and translate their vision into effective communications
• Ability to act as a consultant to global executives and work with all levels in the business
• Strong organizational, project management, process creation, and analysis skills are required
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results oriented
• Experience and knowledge of dialysis healthcare products and clinical services are a plus
• Able to grasp, distill, and communicate complex subjects to global audiences, high awareness of cultural differences
• Demonstrated strong aptitude and ability to develop and execute change communications to support successful large-scale, high-priority international/global transformations and initiatives
• Experience working cross-functionally within a a multinational business unit as part of a complex, global matrixed organization
• 5+ years director level
• Willingness to travel globally
