Summary: Ready to make an impact in an exciting software company? The Senior Director, Brand Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading all marketing communications, branding and public relations efforts at Navigate360. This includes internal and external communications, and relationships with subject matter experts and industry partners. At the core, this leader will be accountable for stewarding the brand, delivering effective, quality, and timely advice on corporate and public affairs, and guiding marketing communication professionals.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Oversee brand and PR agency relationships
- Lead content marketing strategy, and guide execution and ongoing management
- Provide executive talk tracks and scripts for key engagements; responsible for coordinating briefing materials and appointments for executives, thought leaders, stakeholders and others as required
- Steward brand identity and style guidelines of Navigate360, and recommend changes and enhancements
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for executing tactical incident response procedures through the development of communications involving corporate issues, sensitive issues or public enquiries as appropriate to manage and mitigate risk
- Develop and deepen relationships with strategic partners, advisory board members and other external industry contacts/stakeholders
- Lead PR efforts through the development, implementation, monitoring and review of Corporate Communication, Corporate Media Engagement and Relationship Management Strategies
- Manage talented team of Marketing Communications professionals and contractors
- Guide the development and coordination of content for corporate events, such as speaking abstracts, agenda development, thought leader support and stakeholder briefings
Required Qualifications:
- Technology experience valued in solutions such as Asana, HubSpot, Salesforce, Meltwater, Microsoft 365, Slack
- Acts with integrity and diplomacy, able to consult, listen, empathize, collaborate and influence, across internal and external stakeholder groups with executive presence
- Proficiency in: agency relations, media relations, messaging, storytelling, writing, editing
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
- Clear communicator, including excellent writing skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or leadership advisory roles, preferable in a corporate or agency setting
- Demonstrated ability to form influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively guide teams toward solutions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as required Comfortable working under deadline and crisis pressures in a rapidly evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to develop and implement crisis management strategies to alleviate crisis situations and maintain positive reputation.
- Experienced leader in marketing, communications, or advisory roles in a SaaS, Private Equity, corporate, or agency setting; education sector experience an advantage.
- Manage and implement change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture
- Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.
Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
