Summary:

The main function of a Communications Specialist is to assist corporate communications with message development, writing, and editing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring timely, creative and accurate dissemination of news, multimedia content and information

• Create a variety of content for platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging

• Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.

• Works closely with Client's Product corporate sales team to write and finalize monthly and annual press release.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.

• Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.

• 10+ years related experience required.

• Cross-Group Collaboration: working with key stakeholders both across Customer Experience & Success (CE&S), MCAPS comms leads, and in other parts of Microsoft will be a key to your success.
• Storytelling as a critical component to your writing skills
• SharePoint: Understanding of SharePoint site structures, how various libraries work, permissions for sites / pages / libraries, creating new pages, etc.
• Demonstrated proficiency in project management
• Business communication writing / editing
• Microsoft Teams for collaboration
• Viva Amplify and/or Viva Engage – experience with these much preferred
• Creativity: Ability to open minds through creative communication to help increase employee engagement through new channels, styles, and challenging the “ordinary”
• PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote, and Outlook
