What to Expect
The Tesla Energy Operations Team is a group of highly skilled and talented people passionate about collaborating to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The primary role and responsibility of the Warehouse Regional Manager will be to lead Tesla’s provision of energy products and services at a warehouse via standard operating procedures. The Regional Manager will oversee staffing, weekly improvements to metrics, implementing and improving standard operating procedures, root cause analysis of any bottlenecks, inventory control, fleet management and maintenance, and any additional support needed for local teams. Regional Managers oversee between 8 and 12 Tesla Energy Warehouses. The candidate will foster excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across the warehouse, including meeting or exceeding weekly metrics targets and spot checks on standard operating procedures. What You’ll Do
- Maintain local and federal compliance for facilities and programs.
- Translate company targets/guidance into action items to achieve end game results
- Provide professional career development and training for your team including but not limited to, weekly meetings, 1:1 coaching sessions, constructive reviews, supporting and promoting top talent into future Tesla leaders.
- Implement growth action plan in step with installation leadership
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding and training of new team members.
- Deploy new products and processes.
- Provide strategic leadership and foster excellence in Safety, Quality, Productivity across the organization.
- Market level business planning including staffing levels, forecasting, backlog and P&L management.
- Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company.
- Meet or exceed Safety, Quality and Productivity targets.
- Collaborate and drive initiatives cross functionally to achieve business outcome.
- Translate Root cause analysis to identify potential process/systematic improvements
- Proven leadership ability and a track record as a mentor to employees
- Must be adaptable to change and work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through and decision-making skills
- Experience managing managers is preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
- Experience managing warehouse teams is preferred, or some experience training and leading warehouse associates
- Valid state driver’s license
- Construction management experience is preferred
- Candidates must successfully complete and pass MVR background check
- Experience implementing and improving standard operating procedures is preferred
- Proficient using Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and customer account management software
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred, or outstanding equivalent experience
- Familiarity with solar and storage products preferred
- Physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including but not limited to peers and customers.
- Open availability to work all shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
