Amazon Air is looking for a Program Manager to develop air transportation solutions for Amazon AIR. The Fleet Transactions and Management team is responsible for all areas of strategic procurement of aircraft across the entire Amazon AIR organization globally. The Program Manager will support negotiations and pricing, related to fleet transactions and focused on technical aspects of lease, sale and purchase agreement, and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the completion of aircraft deliveries and on-boarding.
The position will be based in Bellevue, WA.
Key job responsibilities

• Navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the cross-functional processes and delivering on commitments.
• Supporting payments and contracts, with focus on aircraft sourcing and fleet strategy activities
• Building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
• Innovating to improve project scope/execution and customer outcomes
• Working with cross-functional project teams, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations.
• Issuing purchase orders, RFPs, and supporting lease payments, and all financial functions.
• Able to support all aspects of forecasting, budgeting, pricing, aircraft deliveries, acceptance, returns, asset compliance with lease, aircraft conformity and on-boarding.

A day in the life
About The Team
Within the Global Fleet and Aviation Sourcing organization (GFAS), the Fleet Transactions and Management team is responsible for sourcing and defining the fleet strategy and aircraft types available to AIR on a global basis. In addition, the team manages aircraft retirements, leases and current fleet, conversion programs and related procurement activities. The team manages relationships with lessors, airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers, appraisers, bankers, and aircraft conversion providers. The team leads commercial negotiation and builds the business case for internal approvals.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in commercial or financial functions within the aviation industry
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Experience in financial forecasting
• Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering or aviation related studies
• Experience working with high value, complex airline, lessor and aircraft contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to connect detailed analytics with long-term commercial strategy
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering or aviation related studies
• 7+ years’ experience in commercial and financial functions with time spent with OEMs, lessors or airlines.
• Experience supporting negotiations for small to mid size contracts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
