The Role

eBay is seeking an experienced program manager interested in redefining global shipping and making international commerce seamless for buyers and sellers. The role will report to the Director of US Exports, and partner with cross functional leaders on a variety of strategic and operational projects. The role will be at the forefront of driving strategy & execution, while ensuring operational excellence in planning, analytics, reporting, and collaboration across a broad cross-functional team. Our key partners include product, design, operations, marketing, legal, analytics, finance, and many others.

The Impact You Will Make Here

• Effectively communicates sophisticated strategies to others, interfacing at all levels.
• Partner with business and product leaders on case development, quantification efforts, tracking & accountability, and WBR/MBR/QBR exercises.
• Program-level execution & ownership: work cross-functionally with key internal leaders to build and drive strategy and outcomes against our key program priorities.
• Partners with sponsors and the broader organization to help craft the project or program vision.
• Can synthesize information from multiple sources and use it for effective decision making.
• Develop narratives based in grounded, defensible analysis that bring qualitative and quantitative analysis to life, uncovering critical insights to drive value creation, and partnering with others to bring those insights to action.
• Fosters growth and innovation in others.
• Comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity and can help others in this regard.
• Responsibility for tracking and reporting overall program health e.g., schedule, budget, quality, change plan, including developing and maintaining appropriate documentation and risk/issue identification and planning.
• Organize and coordinate the various projects and other critical initiatives throughout the program.

What You Bring To The Team

• 6+ years minimum, hands on combined project & program experience in a large, cross functional organization
• Demonstrated track record of leading moderate to large projects with varying complexity across a global and cross functional team.
• Being clear and concise in both verbal and written communications including presentations (e.g., functional/technical specifications, status reports, etc.).
• Rigorous, the intellectually honest problem-solving skills and operational approach
• Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale projects in an operational environment from conception through completion. Willingness to be hands-on and do whatever is vital, while also training others on the team where additive to project success (ownership/apprenticeship mentality).
• Capable of leading through influence, negotiation and information management and remaining execution focused, holding partners accountable to greater goals regardless of level of seniority.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• PMP Certification Preferred
• Solid experience working in an end to end, cross functional environment with product, design, operations, marketing, legal, analytics, finance, accounting, and many others to deliver products/services. Ability to work well as a member of a global and highly integrated team.
• Experience with eCommerce or marketplaces
• Manage multiple partners at various levels in the organization and working with them all equally, proactively, and transparently. Prioritize competing priorities without loss of efficiency or visibility. Ability to operate independently with very little to no guidance, showing initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$126,800 - $187,550

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
