Job Description

Do you have a passion for supporting mental health professionals in continuing education and training?


We are currently in search of a Program Assistant for a Mental Health Association. The position is full-time, on-site in Bethesda, MD. This is a Permanent assignment.


ORGANIZATION TYPE: Mental Health Association

LOCATION: Bethesda, MD- On-Site

POSITION TITLE: Program Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

DURATION: Permanent

SALARY: $60,000/annual

The Program Assistant will provide high-level administrative and tech support to the Executive Administrator, Executive Director, faculty members, and membership to assist in the implementation and evaluation of online and onsite training programs, conferences, and other events.


Our Ideal Candidate:

  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Zoom, Survey Monkey, Donor Snap/Perfect, and technologically savvy
  • Initiative-taker and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • 5 years experience in programming and/or administrative support
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred


How You Will Spend Your Day:

Administrative

  • Prepare and distribute course materials including small group assignments and downloaded readings
  • Order office supplies
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from faculty, members, and Board members
  • Maintain hard copy records and digital filing system
  • Monitor email, mail and telephone
  • Support accounting assisting with monthly financial reporting
  • Create conference schedules and Zoom meeting room assignments for learning sessions


Scheduling and Logistics

  • Prepares certificates
  • Assist in planning and onsite support for online and in-person conferences
  • Monitor online meetings and provide technical support as necessary
  • Maintain registration and attendance records
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including schedule preparation as well as the creation and distribution of handouts, and downloaded readings
  • Schedule and implement online meetings with multiple participants from different time zone
  • Create online evaluation forms


Membership Support

  • Serve as primary point of contact for potential members and current members
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Respond to members’ inquiries
  • Provide information on available benefits and enroll members in benefit programs
