Job Description

The Role


Sparrow is looking for an energetic, resourceful People Operations Administrator who is dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging employee experience. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to support a growing team.


What You’ll Do…


  • Support annual open enrollment process, new hire enrollments, and qualified life events/benefit changes as needed; and assist in the resolution of potential benefit discrepancies with monthly invoice reconciliation
  • Prepare and maintain employee files ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding administration
  • Time and attendance management including timely processing of semi-monthly payroll and benefits administration to ensure accuracy of employee earnings, contributions, deductions, garnishments, etc.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state and local regulations including reporting requirements
  • Foster a welcoming new hire experience by assisting with new hire orientation
  • Develop strong partnerships with vendors including payroll, benefits, etc.


Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment legislation including final pay and time & attendance laws; multi-state experience preferred
  • Creative, progressive approach to employee engagement
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to run with high level direction
  • Innately supportive, empathetic, nurturing, kind approach
  • Strong discretion; ability to be trusted with confidential, sensitive information
  • Naturally curious and always striving to improve
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of Payroll and Benefits experience
  • Familiarity with Paylocity, strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships and lead through influence
  • Self-aware and coachable
