As a Payroll Specialist, your role involves the preparation, processing, analysis, and auditing of both manual and automated payroll data, information, records, and reports. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of payroll transactions and providing work direction, guidance, and training to fellow employees.
· Work as a member of the Payroll Team to ensure accurate and timely production of the company payroll functions, oversee and participate in reviewing, verifying, auditing, and processing payroll forms, records, and documents.
· Work in coordination to consistently process weekly and biweekly US multi-state and Canadian payrolls that include employee garnishment, benefit and tax deductions, all in compliance with federal, state, and provincial wage and hour laws
· Collaborate with Branch Management and Administrative Professionals to obtain accurate pay information and clarification on corrections, customer and departmental coding, required approvals for special pay/interdepartmental charges, etc.
· Regularly communicate system or procedural instructions and/or changes to Branch Administrators
· Research, prepare back-up for, and process stop payment requests and manual check requests as needed
· Review/analyze timecard detail for period compliance regarding pay policies/procedures, federal, state, and provincial compliance
· Collaborate with Payroll Team to develop process improvement initiatives and establish project objectives to carry out the change process successfully
Have an interest and commitment to delivering top-notch training sessions for branch administrative professionals, ensuring they are well-versed with payroll processes and procedures.
We seek a candidate with expertise in large company payroll processing, specifically in organizations with 3,000 or more employees.
The ideal candidate should possess
- Extensive knowledge of ADP or other large-scale payroll systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office is also required, and working effectively in a matrix organization is a must.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-state payroll administration, as well as
