The Business Intelligence Analyst will be passionate about leveraging technology in order to extract and share data-driven insights. They will be self-motivated and results-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize workload, juggle multiple tasks, work independently, and adhere to deadlines within a collaborative, team environment. The Business Intelligence Analyst is ready to share their experience to push the BI organization to the next level of success.

This position will ensure the successful transmission of data from both internal and external systems, validation of the received data, and creation of operational data models from multiple data feeds for on-demand reporting. The Business Intelligence Analyst will establish controls to ensure the validity of the data and develop processes to automate these tasks.

What You’ll Do: Major Accountabilities

• Process reporting requirements from various business groups and users. Understand the bigger picture and be able to probe beyond the stated request to really understand the needs and value of information
• Create rich visualizations to communicate complex ideas to business leaders and make data-driven stories come to life through visuals
• Translate broader business initiatives into design objectives and ensure data is available in our single source of truth to support measuring and optimization of goals
• Responsible for data profiling, design documents, and defining KPI logic
• Drive rapid prototyping and design for analytic environments/data marts
• Mentors customers and business analysts on analytics integration principles and best practices
• Responsible for maintaining data lineage for elements in the reporting environment
• Provide technical and administrative support for enterprise analytics
• Data Modeling and Reporting

Who You Are: Experience, Training, Education

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of Data Warehousing / Data Lake / Business Intelligence strategies and architecture
• Expert Knowledge of SQL databases and SQL in at least one of the following environments: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL required.
• Experience in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and de-normalized models, “slow-changing” dimensions/attributes, etc.
• Structured thinker and effective communicator, comfortable with interacting with customers
• 3+ years of related experience
• Experience working with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience Designing, modeling, and implementing data solutions to meet the business needs
• Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
• Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or a related technical field
• Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ITSM/ITIL Foundational knowledge
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure stack: Data Factory, Logic Apps, Power Apps, API Management, Audit Logs, etc.
• Experience in systems conversion and related data/process requirements
• 2+ years of progressive experience in a data services role within the financial services industry
