We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst within our Corporate team to help support our Bedding business. As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will have the opportunity to support a wide range of market analysis, business intelligence, and research activities. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by build market data from disparate sources and analyzing trends to inform decisions around products, channels, and customers. The team you will be working with is collaborative and supportive, and values flexibility and teamwork.

So, what will you be doing as a Business Intelligence Analyst?

The Bedding Segment Strategy & Business Intelligence function is designed to specifically serve the Bedding segment by providing internal, consumer, customer, competitor, and market research and insights to key stakeholders across the business.


What you’ll do

  • Facilitate thought-provoking strategic conversations and assist and potentially lead Bedding focused business intelligence and strategic projects overseeing the resources necessary to plan, coordinate, and deliver solutions.
  • Help determine what key internal data and external market insights are most impactful to drive business decisions. Establish a routine cadence for efficient collection, analysis, and distribution.
  • Develop and manage key business dashboards, notably through Power BI, to highlight key market insights and internal data.
  • Act as a key information partner primarily to Bedding Leadership but also Executive Leadership and Investor Relations, synthesizing data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive value for the business.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Ability to analyze multiple inputs and creatively problem solve when data is either incomplete or ambiguous
  • 3+ years of experience in a business to business, business intelligence, financial analyst or strategy role with a preference for experience in business intelligence, business analytics, financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a related field; experience in bedding or related market is beneficial
  • Strong quantitative skills, including experience with data manipulation, synthesis, and visualization tools and techniques with proven ability to draw insights from disparate data sources
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Broad understanding of data collection, assessment, and intelligence distribution and ability to synthesize key insights for leadership
  • Experience using data visualization / BI tools such as Microsoft’s Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
