We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Payment and Fraud Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payment processes and detecting fraudulent activity, ensuring the security and integrity of all financial transactions. The Payment and Fraud Specialist will also be responsible for working closely with other departments, including Customer Service and Finance, to resolve any payment or fraud-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize chat, email, and phone to update orders and resolve issues
- Review and analyze incoming orders to spot trends and prevent fraudulent order attempts
- Evaluate current processes and suggest any appropriate improvements to increase efficiency, reduce loss, and enhance the customer experience
- Communicate empathetically with cardholders to confirm order authenticity
- Work cooperatively with the Payment Support team to recognize trends and update the system accordingly
- Measure, track, and communicate data on fraudulent attempts and chargebacks on a regular basis
- Make and execute decisions regarding the validity of orders
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with immense attention to detail
- Experience with payment processing platforms and fraud detection tools.
- Able to balance desired business and customer outcomes
- Shipping experience (preferred but not required)
- Not afraid to take ownership of decisions and leverage data to back up those decisions
- Has strong Excel or Google Sheets experience
- A team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flourish in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities
