Our NA Nike Direct Sr. Director of Stores is responsible for leading and managing a dynamic, multi-concept, in-line retail store business to achieve sustainable sales and profit growth by developing strategies that enhance the Nike Brand in Retail. You will lead a multi-store territory of talent and demonstrate the ability to deliver top-tier business results through a deep understanding of the Nike Inc. broader business strategy to achieve sales, operations and organizational goals.
What Will You Work On
In this role, you'll develop strategic and operational plans and enable teams to enhance the Nike experience for our consumers. You’ll demonstrate deep brick & mortar expertise to maximize the territory talent and operating agendas. You’ll uncover controllable levers to accelerate the success of the territory and influence the broader Nike retail organization. You'll lead territory performance and execute opportunities for growth through revenue, membership, wages, shrinkage and operating income. You'll ensure that the Nike Brand comes to life at Retail through the execution of key brand, product, marketing and seasonal initiatives. You'll establish monthly and annual territory budgeting and forecasting data that tie into the overall retail plan. In addition, you are accountable for the overall leadership and people management of the territory. You’ll proactively anticipate internal and external talent needs and take partnership as appropriate. You will be responsible for the training and development, management of performance as well as the succession and career planning of talent across Nike retail.
Who Will You Work With
You will partner with various cross-functional partners including Store Operations, Human Resources, Merchandising, Planning, and Loss Prevention to implement initiatives enabling Nike Direct to achieve business objectives, which you will use to drive solutions and actions that will contribute to organizational health and the achievement of business objectives.
What You Bring To Nike
  • Proven success driving change and achieving business results
  • 15 or more years of retail management, preferably with a minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-unit management with a specialty retailer
  • Ability to lead and influence others, including peers, to accomplish objectives
  • Willingness and availability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Proficient in Retail operations, budgeting, planning, visual merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention
  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities delivering inspiration, structure, and development across a diverse team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Experience leading in an Omni-Channel Retail environment
  • Knowledge of insights and trends to advise and inform regional/global strategies
