The Manager of Franchisee Recruitment is a marketing/business development role that is responsible for prospecting, recruiting, engaging, and ultimately committing new franchisees to multi-unit development agreements across various domestic markets. This role will work hand and hand with the sales team to establish relationships and network with existing multi-unit franchisees, restaurant professionals, entrepreneurs, developers, private investors, and industry groups, to gain interest for traditional & non-traditional franchise development.

Responsibilities
- Perform such other related tasks as reasonably requested.
- Create and Conduct Webinar programs to interested inquiries.
- Provide weekly pipeline reports to SVP of Franchise Development so there is a clear and concise understanding of campaign effectiveness.
- Utilize CRM platform (FranConnect) to ensure proper documentation throughout the candidate qualification & onboarding process.
- Drives best-in-class outreach campaigns through third party ad agencies. Creates dashboards that clearly communicate advertising and marketing effectiveness and designs immediate counter measures that obtain results.
- Coordinates with multiple departments within the organization (i.e., Senior Leadership Team, legal, operations, training, marketing, finance) to ensure proper onboarding of new franchisee candidates.
- Evaluates, recommends, coordinates, and represents Potbelly at national and regional trade shows, seminars, social events, webinars, networking sessions, speaking engagements, etc. that are best suited for franchisee recruitment.
- Utilize data mining techniques across various platforms such as trade publications, LinkedIn, social media, industry trade groups and other resources to create specific target lists for franchisee recruitment.
- Leads all recruitment initiatives for new Potbelly franchisees, which includes working with Potbelly’s marketing department and third-party ad agencies to design and implement strategic recruitment campaigns.
- Create and lead all direct mail campaigns, e-mail drip campaigns, social media outreach, SEO initiatives, public relation campaigns and other communication platforms designed to engage with the franchise community.
- Manage the recruitment process to achieve quarterly and annual quotas.

- Ability to travel up to 30%-50% of time to include our Support Center in Chicago, IL, attendance at trade shows, industry conventions, and franchise conferences.
- 2-3 years’ Experience in recruiting multi-unit/multi-brand franchisees in similar position
- Media experience including traditional social networking sites and internet marketing strategies
- Can develop contingency plans to deal with unexpected situations in the selection process
- Can analyze specific selection and business challenges and offer solutions based on best practices and business knowledge
- Strong collaborative skills that demonstrate teamwork, creativity, and innovation
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong presentation skills (in person and virtually)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to communicate heavily through the internet, telephone, e-mail, text, video conferencing, and in-person communications
- Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
- Ability to stand/walk for 9-10 hours per day and sit for 1-2 hours per day
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate, and key in data
- Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 45 hours a week
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to travel 30%-50% of the time
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS
- Skilled at operating in all sales environments to include, but not limited to, internet, social media, email, phone, text, instant messaging, and other direct face to face interactions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic growth plans
- Self-starter who can work well with others as well as independently
- Working knowledge of standard franchise documents & compliance standards
- Fully understands and can articulate the “why” behind both good and bad decisions and apply learnings to current and future decisions
- Experience with CRM, FranConnect, SmartSheet, and all Microsoft products
- Can balance intuition with fact-based knowledge
- Must be coachable, driven, focused, confident and a self-starter
- Must be passionate about the food business in general and Potbelly in particular
- Can responsibly take calculated risks on candidates and decisions for the future organizational benefit
- Must have experience performing in a highly competitive environment
- Strong analytic skills
