Job Description
MANAGER CULTURE MARKETING
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION
Responsible for strategically managing Culture Marketing category activity. Ensure effective communication flow between all internal parties and external counterparts. Assure relevant brand activity with Influencers and Entertainers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and execute agreement terms with Talent on behalf of the brand. Ensure full alignment with all relevant functions and departments on a Global and Local level including but not limited to: communications, PR, CTC, product marketing, sales, finance, legal, business units, and all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend entertainment events and industry meetings for networking, when relevant.
  • Interact with product marketing, brand marketing, retail activation, public relations and event marketing as needed to execute plans. Manage all aspects of the execution plan.
  • Assure a strategic, proactive approach to celebrities and influencers who add value to the brand and our consumers and consistently evolve and add to the list
  • Manage Influencers relationships ie. appearances, production days, content creation.
  • Act as Culture Marketing department lead in absence of Senior Manager or Director
  • Maintain a strong awareness within Culture Marketing industry, trends and activity
  • Support Senior Manager with partner process across all brand / business functions (Product, Brand marketing etc).
  • Build and maintain relevant and strong relationships within the Entertainment and Influencer industries
  • Leverage marketing integration to drive key commercial opportunities at own retail, wholesale partners, etc.
  • Drive and implement strategic category plans led by respective Director in conjunction with category and newsroom counterparts
  • Identify opportunities to connect Influencers and entertainers to our brand through content creation, activations, campaign, seeding etc.
  • Build rapport with external Entertainment contacts while keeping adidas objectives a top priority
  • Manage events within lead categories
  • Develop and manage Culture Marketing integration through strategic placement and targeting of specific brand Initiatives.
  • Review and select programming for involvement, assure timely product fulfilment, and obtain placement documentation for internal reporting.

  • Knowledge of the music/fashion/style/entertainment industry
  • Unconventional business hours may be required. (evenings, weekends)

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Four year college or university degree in Marketing, advertising or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in related field
Physical Requirements

  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is ($84,600-$126,800). Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, and proficiency for the role.

  • Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and personal performance. Employees accrue prorated flexible time off in the amount .4388 hours per day that increases with years of service, eleven paid holidays throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
  • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The working location of this position is New York City, NY.
