Teacher Retirement System is looking for a candidate with experience working on the backend of LMS systems preferably with Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD). An applicant who is passionate about service and development and wants to grow with a dynamic organization!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
LMS Oversight
- Creates, publishes, and archives online courses; maintains user accounts, system parameters, and learning resources.
- Assists with the implementation, maintenance, and operation of the learning management system to meet internal clients’ needs.
- Ensures training and development programs in the LMS are continuously evaluated for relevancy and function.
- Provides customer service and technical/functional assistance to the technical support team and end users.
- Designs and develops custom reports.
- Researches complex LMS-related problems and develops innovative solutions.
- Develops and maintains organizational communication to ensure employees have knowledge of LMS protocol and structure.
- Develops policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the LMS and ensures users are trained on appropriate uses.
Learning & Development (L&D) Support
- Works with L&D team to design, develop, implement, and update training and presentation materials.
- Assists in assigning compliance training and generating training status reports.
- Researches and identifies vendors and speakers for Lunch and Learn program; requests quotes for services and submits for approval to purchase.
- Coordinates training logistics, to include scheduling classes, preparing class rosters, and reserving rooms and audiovisual equipment for classes.
- Assists in maintaining records of training/instructional activities and evaluating the effectiveness of courses/programs.
Organizational Excellence (OE) Support
- Provides back-up support to department staff and quality service to department customers.
- Performs various administrative support and/or technical functions in support of agency operations.
- Develops items for the manager’s toolkit, including for the L&D page.
- Attends appropriate committee meetings and workgroups requiring OE participation.
Performs related work as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- High school diploma or equivalent and additional full-time directly-related human resources experience may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
- One (1) year of directly related human resources experience.
- Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
- None.
- Experience coordinating projects.
- Experience designing and tracking training programs.
- Experience conducting information-gathering or stakeholder interviews.
- Experience developing written communications, including newsletters or other marketing materials.
- One year full-time directly related human resources, training, learning and development, or other related experience.
- Customer service best practices.
- General office and business practices and procedures.
- Listening actively and demonstrating empathy.
- Planning, organizing and executing meetings and events.
- Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
- Effectively communicating to a diverse population.
- Using a personal computer and various software programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, agency staff and management, other organizations, and other external contacts.
- Be highly flexible and work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Work with diverse groups of employees and ensure employee engagement.
