Job Summary


The Learning Management Specialist is a key role on the Talent Management Team. This role requires Learning Management System (LMS) configuration and administration experience and uses this knowledge to consult with internal stakeholders, team members, and employees to configure and deliver learning activities. The Learning Management Specialist provides day-to-day learner support for end users and manages the Stewart Learning inbox.


The position is expected to track trends and work collaboratively toward continuous improvement and innovation. Other responsibilities include report configuration, content uploading and testing, developing and maintaining guided learning content in the LMS, setting up and maintaining learning communities, and partnering with the Talent Management team to ensure a positive learning experience for our employees by taking full advantage of system capabilities.


Job Responsibilities


  • Tests all software updates/enhancements to ensure continuity of the system and to prevent negative impact to end users and course owners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures training content is operating properly at all times without interruption, quality degradation, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience.
  • Updates and improve one’s knowledge and skills pertaining to Workday, learning technology and related fields.
  • Reviews quarterly release notes and communicates system configuration changes to Talent Management team, course owners.
  • Partners with HRIS colleagues to ensure desired LMS configuration and security needs align with the agreed upon parameters within the Workday Learning application.
  • Configures and maintains the monthly/quarterly training schedule and all associated back-end tasks in Workday to ensure a smooth learning experience.
  • Partners with the HRIS team to promptly resolve any technical issues.
  • Owns the technical and functional administration of the day-to-day operation, maintenance, usage, and analysis of learning management system (Workday) and responds to support requests from employees.
  • Utilizes reporting systems to create a multitude of reports and dashboards creating meaningful insights into the leaning data.
  • Maintains the training catalog within the LMS.
  • Remains active in the Workday Customer Connect Community to find solutions and best practices and to recommend enhancements.
  • Screens items submitted for LMS publication for their adherence to SCORM standards to ensure a valid system of record and effective learning experiences for clients.
  • Acts as an LMS consultant, providing best practice insight into all LMS functionality, including creating events, sessions, curricula, learning journeys, email notifications, assist with custom reports, standard reports, and uploading content (e-learning modules, materials, videos).
  • Interacts with employees of all levels in a productive and constructive manner and maintains professional relationships.
  • Identifies and reports on trends related to technical support issues and makes recommendations to resolve those issues.


Education And Experience


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Experience as an administrator of and/or configuring Workday Learning required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field preferred. 2+ years demonstrated experience as an LMS Administrator or LMS Specialist.
