Job Description
We are seeking a Key Account Manager, Retail Sales to support a global beauty company in New York, NY.


This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) and open to local candidates.


Job Summary:


This role will manage the strategic development of Key Retailers (Mass, Drug, Grocery, Discount Channels) and ensuring sales targets are achieved.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Negotiate terms and conditions and implement the results
  • Deliver annual volume, trade spend and profit plan
  • Represent the companys portfolio of beauty brands at Key Retailers (Mass, Drug, Grocery, Discount Channels).
  • Ensure customer maintains a strategic product mix through SKU optimization - both new item sell-in and SKU reduction
  • Ensure customer profitability
  • Plan and implement the annual appraisals in coordination with the management level
  • Implement the sales strategies per customer in coordination with the sales channel strategy
  • Make regular headquarter buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and create fact-based selling presentations
  • Participate in customer payment processing including financial contracts, performance and collection
  • Ongoing analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution


Requirements


Education:


  • Bachelors Degree


Required:


  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles
  • 3+ years of experience in Business-to-Business sales or Specialty Beauty Retailers & Department Stores sales, preferably in the beauty industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, competitive selling technique, business acumen and organizational skills


Preferred:


  • Prior management development training and career development
  • Experience documenting sales awards and achievements

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. Employees may be eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal, and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
