Junior Solutions Engineer Jobs

The Solutions Engineer will have technical acumen and use their extensive technical knowledge and abilities to configure the City Innovate Platform to meet the needs of the customer. The Solutions Engineer will work alongside other Solutions Engineering team members answer any technical questions customers may have and to help translate and map existing customer processes to our platform. They also maintain a professional relationship with clients to learn the challenges they're facing and assist in implementation according to those needs.At City Innovate, we’re well aware of the impact government can have on people’s lives. We won’t rest until every government has access to the modern technologies the private sector takes for granted. The barrier here is legacy procurement processes that can be byzantine in complexity. City Innovate makes products to modernize legacy procurement processes and as well as to pioneer greater agility in procurement.

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to help understand customer needs and present solutions accordingly as we grow City Innovate to the next level.

We are looking for someone who is extremely ambitious, curious, and hungry to make a big impact in the lives of our customers (the government officials responsible for changing residents' lives through innovation in procurement). You are someone who possesses both a high level of customer empathy and technical mindset. You are resourceful and aren't afraid to push yourself outside of your comfort zone in order to solve a problem. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Solutions Engineers team, helping deliver big customer wins and providing a voice for improvement of our offerings.

• Applying technical skills to suggest and plan updates and enhancements to our product
• Use extensive technical knowledge to understand customer needs and mapping with Product
• Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the City Innovate platform within 3 months of start date
• Planning and executing implementation for new customers
• Researching and creating custom technical solutions for customers
• Determine product gaps and work with Product and Engineering to solve for these gaps
• Translating and transferring customer documentation; configuring our platform to meet customer needs

Requirements

• Experience in GovTech or Procurement space is a bonus
• 2-7 years experience as a Solutions Engineer, Consultant, or Implementation Specialist focused on SaaS implementation
• Previous experience working in a startup environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical understanding of SQL, APIs, Databases and Integration Technology

• Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000
