We are seeking a highly motivated Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general IT concepts and be proficient in both Windows and MacOS environments. As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and assist with the maintenance of our IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and antivirus checks.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications used by the company.
- Monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT-related activities, including tickets, inventory, and maintenance logs.
Requirements
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Workspace.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- At least six months of experience in a similar role.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience in supporting end-user applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Availability to work outside of normal business hours, if needed.
