We are adding an IT Support Engineer to our quickly-growing team. As an IT Support Engineer, you will:

• Assess and update endpoint devices with antivirus, internal software and manage update to date patches on the infrastructure
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Linux and Apple MacBook (Apple products) based laptops
• Participate in the development, implementation, and administration of processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, recoverability, and optimum performance of user hardware.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
• Maintain IT asset (hardware and software) inventory through active tracking, physical verification, and asset tagging.
• Provide ticket-based and remote Helpdesk support for Parachute’s growing user base and environments.
• Install, configure software on computer systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware.
• Provide assistance in consolidating and updating monitoring activities and tools
• Research, procure and deploy new hardware and software solutions.
• Good knowledge of IT compliance for Laptops and Linux based servers

Requirements
Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 1+ years of related industry experience in a customer focused enterprise environment.
• 1+ years of experience in Linux and Apple products, troubleshooting, and deployment
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's degree in IT-related field with 2+ years of progressively responsible experience.
• Note that though this is a remote, work-from-home position, we are seeking candidates in the Tri-State Area to assist with managing the tech inventory and to troubleshoot issues in a New York office if one reopens.
• 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.

Nice to have

• Ability to manage high priority projects.
• Industry relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), AWS.
• Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms.

Base Salary
$58 - 75K
