Upon ticket submission, provide updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users within ticketing system (ServiceNow).

Demonstrated skill in user software/hardware set-up and troubleshooting;

Facilitates client support requests to repair, install, move, or change computer hardware, applications and other system requests.

May interact with infrastructure, applications, business analysis, IT security, or PMO personnel to perform or coordinate service request.

Taking initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshooting and managing relatively simple hardware, software or network problems.

Recognizing and escalating more difficult problems to a higher level of support.

Specialized skills in area to be able to work autonomously as proven through work experience.

HS Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

1-3 years of experience in any specialized area required as part of the job functions.

Professional approach to their work that includes very strong customer service skills.

Strong technology skills, including extensive use of Microsoft applications as well as MCIU software.

Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and read and understand highly technical documents.

The ideal candidate will have education, training, or experience with at least 4 of the below:

Conduct IT security and management:

Manage Macs in an enterprise environment. (Jamf preferred, any MDM helpful)

Manage wired and wireless networks.

Basic knowledge of OS X/Linux OS preferred

Any Apple certifications are a big plus.

LogMeIn / other remote management tools

Ensure that the asset management system is up-to-date, accurate and relevant always.

Administer mobile devices and R&M’s mobile device management platform.

Aware of ITIL processes incl. Incident and Problem Management, Change Management and Continual Service Improvement

Pay range: $32 - $35/hr (based on experience)

One to three years’ experience with Teamcenter or other enterprise PLM, ERP or MES systems

Experience with the phases of software implementation projects including installation, configuration, testing, deployment, and postproduction support

Experience with Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) best practices, standards, and testing

Time management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines effectively.

IT inventory management: Keep track of hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring proper documentation and timely replenishment as needed.

Documentation and knowledge sharing: Develop user guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials to promote self-service and enhance user experience.

User support: Respond promptly to user inquiries, provide technical guidance, and offer solutions to IT-related challenges.

Technical skills: Proficient in desktop and laptop support, Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting.

Problem-solving abilities: Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently, ensuring minimal disruption to user productivity.

Accurately document recurring problems and solutions in our knowledge management system

Experience with mobile device management systems, preferred

Support in management of software licensing and purchasing

Strong communication skills in English - Strong experience with Mac hardware and software

Provide first line IT support for our employees, both on-site in San Diego and remotely
