Job Description

Expected pay range: $65,000 - $80,000.


The Jr. SharePoint Helpdesk Administrator will assist the Sr. SharePoint Administrator in providing technical support to Deployed Resources for Microsoft SharePoint Online administration activities and tasks relating to projects and support. The candidate will be responsible for general SharePoint related Tier-1 and helpdesk tickets including user account management, onboarding/offboarding, and any ticket escalated from the helpdesk. The candidate will be required to complete Udemy Mastering SharePoint Online A-Z Boot Camp within 3 months of hire.


Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Assist in SharePoint administrative activities
  • Serve as the first point of contact in assisting end-users with SharePoint issues and questions
  • Provide end-user training in SharePoint when needed or requested
  • Assist with Help Desk tickets as required
  • Join and help implement general IT Projects

Skills and Specifications

SharePoint

  • Hands on experience with SharePoint Online
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint Online site design, including site templates and webparts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint groups and how each interface with SharePoint Online
  • Basic understanding of Modern SharePoint vs Classic SharePoint
  • Familiar with Mac and PC web browsers including Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari and the functionality/limitations of each


Help Desk

  • Navigate and troubleshoot basic device connections to PCs & Macs, to include laptops, desktops and tablets. Basic device connections include but are not limited to phones, printers, and tablets. Basic device connection methods include USB, HDMI, DVI, Wi-Fi, & Bluetooth, etc.
  • Familiar with Mac and PC operating systems, system functions & preferences, file recovery and search
  • Can remote troubleshoot software issues (O365 Microsoft suite of applications, G Suite etc.) working through a screen share
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft 365
  • Familiar with Mac and PC computer operating systems and iPhone and Android cellular phones to support system functions & preferences, file recovery and search for any device.
  • Perform remote log-ins on employee computers to resolve issues
  • Know how to wipe/factory reset Mac and PC systems and re-install OS.

  • Intuitive abilities to figure out what people are trying to say they need help with
  • Provide excellent customer service to team members as not all members are technically savvy and aren’t sure what they need or how to explain the problem they are having. Ability to be able to walk them through the process of figuring out what exactly they need help with.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no current supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. may occur.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position based remotely. Success candidate is expected to work autonomously. Typical office hours 8am-5pm M-F, however, must be available 24/7/365 as needed. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on contract needs.


Travel

Opportunity for travel 10-15%.


Required Education and Experience

  • Experience troubleshooting remote employees with PC and MAC OS.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a customer support role working with SharePoint Online, to include:
    • Experience troubleshooting remote employees with PC and MAC OS.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
