Job Description

Company Description

Ramona Lumber Co. has been fabricating quality roof and floor trusses since 1978 for lumber yards, contractors, and homeowners. The company focuses on utilizing premium raw materials, expert engineering services, and time-proven fabrication and delivery techniques to provide top-quality trusses at reasonable prices.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Truss Designer located in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. The Truss Designer will be responsible for designing and creating trusses, interpreting architectural drawings, providing customer service, and collaborating with structural engineers. Some work from home is acceptable.


Qualifications

  • Collaboration skills, working with structural engineers and other professionals
  • Experience in truss design and timber engineering
  • Customer service skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings
  • Proficiency in industry software, such as AutoCAD and Mitek Sapphire
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the construction industry or lumber industry is a plus
