Job Description

Vibration Fixture Design Engineer

Leaders in the providing Automotive Testing Services that includes Environmental Simulations, Vibration Testing, EMC/EMI, ESD, Vehicle Emissions Testing and Engine & Chassis Dynamometer Testing. We are currently seeking an experienced Vibration Fixture Designer for our Auburn Hills, Michigan location.

About This Position:

The Vibration Fixture Designer will be responsible for designing Vibration Fixtures for dynamic testing such as vibration and shock. We are seeking a Vibration Fixture Design Engineer with 2-5+ years of experience designing assembly fixtures.

Vibration Fixture Designer Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure fixture designs function appropriately.
  • Design a variety of standard and non-standard fixtures and related tooling.
  • Responsible for Vibration Fixture design.
  • Responsible for designing the fixture to the GD&T.
  • Technical review of Test reports.
  • Must have Solidworks or NX design experience.

Vibration Fixture Designer Qualifications/Skills:

· Must be able to work 1st shift-7:30am-4:30pm-Monday-Friday.

· Must have a working knowledge of fixture design practices- material selection, weight, GEVS.

· Able to read diagrams, blueprints, and client specifications.

· Hands on shop build experience, fixture build, etc.

· Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal direction is required.

Education: BS Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.

Experience: Preferred 5+ years of prior experience in test laboratory environment
