FOX Factory designs, engineers, manufactures and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide. Our premium brand, performance-defining products and systems are used primarily on bicycles, side-by-side vehicles, on-road vehicles with and without off-road capabilities, off-road vehicles and trucks, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, specialty vehicles and applications, motorcycles, and commercial trucks. Position Summary:
Designs the form of manufactured products in addition to originating and developing ideas.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Establishes design concepts, reads publications, attends showings, and consults with engineering, marketing, production, and sales representatives to establish design concepts.
  • May design products for custom applications.
  • Shows design to client or design committee and discusses need for modification and change.
  • May be required to have specialized product knowledge.
  • May prepare or coordinate preparation of working drawings from sketches and design specifications.
  • May build simulated model, using hand and power tools and various materials.
  • May prepare illustrations.
  • Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
  • May design product packaging and graphics for advertising.
  • Incorporates findings and concepts and sketches design ideas.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
  • In-depth knowledge in the principles of design
  • Imaginative and persistent, and able to communicate ideas visually
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with production requirements
  • Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Aptitude to work constructively under stress in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Relentless attention to detail

Position Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering or related field of study
Experience:
2+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Office Environment
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
