Job Summary
Under the direction of Product Manager within the Portfolio and Electronic Trading team, Institutional Trading Developer II will focus on the development of Equity Trading algorithms. The Trading Developer will work closely with the product development team (quantitative research, developers, traders and sales) in all phases of the development process including design, model integration, deployment and maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the development process in various phases of algorithmic product development, including research, design, testing, implementation, integration, and support.
• Facilitate the future growth of the product through cooperation with traders, sales-traders outside of the Electronic Trading desk.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to and define platform strategy.
• Self-reliant and able to manage priorities and thorough understanding of the software lifecycle and relevant software methodologies used in software development.
• Knowledge of prevailing trends in equity execution algorithms, FIX protocol, market structure, and US equity trading, and routing/order-placement strategies.

Education & Experience

• BS or BA in Computer Science, or related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer programming, including hands-on experience with Java 8, JavaScript, and SQL.
• 5+ years' similar work experience to include prior experience within a major trading platform & client support production.

Hiring Minimum: $121,000
Hiring Maximum: $181,500
