Job Summary:
The position will perform a variety of analytical tasks in support of the Cobalt and Lithium Trading team. This person will be responsible for ongoing desk operations including contracts, fulfillment and position monitoring. There will be numerous ad-hoc analytical requests to handle a variety of fundamental supply/demand and other trading related subjects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analysis on supply and demand and research on industry trends;. May build supply/demand models.
- Ensure that contracted commitments and operations team deliverables are in sync
- Maintain team records on open deals being negotiated and in progress
- Track desk positions in spreadsheets; Review against Middle Office reports to validate all is in sync
- Collect and review geographic and country research, tech research and summarize
- Interact with research providers and publications to collect latest thinking in the product, geographic technology and macro factors impacting the product
- Review all contracts to understand how they work
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field preferred
- Sound decision making skills and the ability to work with little supervision
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in multiple languages a plus but not required
- Minimum 0-4 years’ experience in commodities a plus
**The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $105,00. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, work location, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
