Meteorologist Jobs

CBS New York, the #1 station in the Paramount portfolio of television stations, is looking for a dynamic, experienced meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather team.
Responsibilities:

• Report on climate change and the impact across the tri-state area
• Produce clean, creative graphics
• Create daily forecasts in alignment with the First Alert brand
• Contribute to severe weather coverage from the studio or reporting in the field

Requirements:

• Must be a certified AMS meteorologist
• Must be skilled at posting weather-related information on social media channels
• Must have 5+ years of related experience
• Must be skilled with telling a comprehensive and clear weather story

Preferred skills:

• Ability to shoot, write and edit reports
• Knowledge of the tri-state area
• Experience presenting news in addition to forecasting

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $106,080.00 - 175,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
