Automated Trading Strategies - Commodities - Associate

JPMorgan is a leading liquidity provider in global markets. The Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) group is responsible for systematic trading across FX, Rates, Commodities and Credit markets. ATS designs and implements automated pricing, risk management and hedging, and order execution strategies. ATS works closely with other internal parties (voice trading desks, sales, product, technology) to understand the needs of clients and advance JPMorgan's market-leading electronic services.

Job Summary

You will work as part of the Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) front-office team in New York with primary focus on Commodities markets. You must be responsible, independent, driven, and able to work in smooth collaboration with the wider team. The group is globally distributed, clear written and verbal communication is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving trading software systems and tools
• Research to develop models and methods to solve practical trading problems
• Back testing and assessing pricing, risk management and execution strategies
• Resolving day-to-day trading issues
• Data analysis to identify patterns and revenue opportunities
• Reviewing trading performance data and making data driven decisions
• Expanding the group's library of modeling, analytics, and automation tools

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or other quantitative fields
• Strong programming skills in C++/Java or other object-oriented languages
• Excellent research skills
• Attention to detail, adaptable, driven and collaborative
• Interest in markets and systematic trading

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Foundational knowledge of statistic and data analysis techniques
• Knowledge of order types, L2 market data and central limit order books
• Interest or experience in market microstructure and systematic trading
• Experience with KDB+/q
• Interest or experience in Commodities markets
