With 36 retail stores in Ohio, Delphos Wireless is now ready to expand to other states! We are seeking a talented HR professional to oversee all HR functions and collaborate with all members across the organization. SHRM certification or HRCI certification is required for this position.

Summary:

As the Delphos Wireless HR Director, you will set an example for the team. This opportunity gives you the chance to build, lead, inspire, and provide outstanding customer service through day-to-day HR functions. You will work closely with Delphos Wireless leaders to optimize and achieve full success in Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compliance, Training, Benefits, and general HR Administration. This role is a key leader, responsible for researching and resolving associate concerns in a timely and thorough manner. Excellent working knowledge of HR Compliance related developments in state/federal employment laws is required. The ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment is essential. Must be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality, and inspire trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employee engagement and wellness to continuously improve HR strategies.
  • Communicate policies to employees and provide guidance on their interpretation and application.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonus programs, and employee benefits enrollment.
  • Coordinate and/or deliver training sessions on various topics, such as compliance, diversity, inclusion, and leadership development.
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and coordinate the on-boarding process for new employees.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Process employee status changes, terminations, and employee data updates in HRIS systems.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure a smooth on-boarding experience.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Facilitate employee communication and engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Support the performance management process by assisting with goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook to ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters, including feedback and development opportunities.
  • Assist in conducting HR audits and ensure adherence to employment laws, reporting requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, including employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness programs.
  • Address employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Assist with HR reporting and analytics, providing HR data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits documentation, and performance records.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards in relation to compensation and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to balance the needs of the employees and the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment/labor laws, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition and retention strategies, with experience in full-cycle recruitment and on-boarding processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM certification or HRCI certification is required.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably within the Retail Industry, or related field.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience in policy development and creation of standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries. Provide support to employees in various topics such as leaves, compensation etc.
  • Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Undertake tasks in performance management
  • Oversee recruitment process, post positions, track candidates from application through to execution of offer;
  • Plan and execute on key employee events such as Open Enrollment, Employee Recognition programs, and any other event requiring Human Resources assistance
  • Promote Human Resources programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Conduct employee on-boarding and all training associated with company policies
  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Maintain HRIS

Requirements

  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to hit the ground running
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of Human Resources experience
  • SHRM Certification or HRCI Certification required
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills
