Job Details

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing all facets of Human Resources within the company. They will play a critical role in driving the company’s culture and formulating and aligning key HR initiatives supporting business growth and strategy to position the organization as an Employer of Choice. They will collaborate with their leadership team to ensure training, benefits, and employee relations are in lockstep with business needs. This role will be the primary HR leader in the company, responsible for meeting and aligning with the business's ever-changing needs while executing on the people and culture strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leverage HR programs, tools, and processes to support the strategic and tactical organizational business goals and talent needs

Drive and support organizational development programs in the business to support a positive, performance-driven culture, including succession planning, training and development, and team member engagement initiatives

Support recruiting strategies and practices aimed at identifying and acquiring talent within and outside of the organization; ensure hiring managers are well-trained to ensure we consider a diverse applicant slate and make good hiring decisions

Channel employee relations issues as they arise in the business

Maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, and issues

Support Walk-On’s diversity development, inclusion, and affirmative action initiatives/programs to achieve the organization’s objectives for internal equity

Support in the development of all tools needed to support the organizational growth and development through technology systems (HRIS, ATS & LMS) along with processes to monitor performance through business KPI’s

Additional duties as assigned by manager

Education, Experience & Certifications

5+ years of experience in related roles

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred or equivalent experience in field

PHR, SPHR, SHRM or other HR Certification

Experience In Restaurant Or Retail Marketing Preferred

Experience working with Franchisees preferred
